Herreid, a 1991 graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design with a BFA in jewelry & light metals, found her calling early in life. At age 14, her fascination with metalwork was fostered by her Concord MA art teacher who, quick to recognize her talent , volunteered her own torch and took the time to teach LeeAnn to solder. The name goes right to the point of Herreid's art: jewelry that gives the wearer an expression of personal meaning through functionality. Her Individual Icons are both symbolic and beautiful.

Another silver chain dangles a handsome black small compass with a wide high bezel that come with matching earrings and even cuff-links of the same design.
She is most known for to a set of spirit yellow liquid bubble levels fashioned into wishbone earrings, bracelets and rings, to “keep a level head” and “a steady hand”. Her “modern icons” reach to graceful metal rulers curved for bracelets and generous wide chain-mail cuffs, that assertively snap on the arm. A narrow long, long silver mesh woven skinny lariotte for winding around the torso and an hourglass with sand caught in a tiny pendant remind us, tempus fugit. Temperature Rising? Rock a silver slim red and silver thermometers pair of earrings.....or a handsome stainless steel ruler sleek in three widths
that fetchingly wraps around the wrist. You get the picture – hardware – gearings that are the new hoops...
