Ayeen Telopa
Ayeen Telopa is a mixed media folk artist. She currently works as both student and teacher, at our late teacher Felipe Ortega's studio. Tending the clay pits, building pots, and planting corn in the gardens. She was raised up by the generous tending of the sangre de cristo mountains and the rio grande tributaries. Her love of this land, it's culture, and history is what influences her work. She is a willow basket weaver as well as watershed restorationist. Her hope is that through the stewardship of land and folk craft seeds for future generations will continue to sprout.
