The Moon Was at a Fiesta By Matthew Gollub. Illustrated by Leovigildo Martínez
The Moon Was at a Fiesta By Matthew Gollub. Illustrated by Leovigildo Martínez
An enchanting Mexican folk tale about why when we see the moon is out during the day, it is because of the moon's jealousy of the sun getting to go to all the parties, and has gone out to a fiesta. Colorfully illustrated by Oaxacan artist Leovigildo Martinez, who painted the five large murals in Cafe Pasqual's dining room. Un cuento encantador que explica por qãºe a veces se ve la luna de dãa, pues una noche hizo una fiesta â¡y se le olvidã³ meterse cuando saliã³ el sol!
